A Novel Approach to Divorce Recovery - This study is based upon "A Novel Approach to Discipleship" but it is specifically designed for people who have gone through divorce. It is intended to help you explore what went wrong in your marriage and discover ways that you can change to be more Christ-like. As with the discipleship program, the study can be done with any fiction, but the one you will find here uses Seasons of Change to foster discussion and teach personal Bible study, one of the primary tools any Christian needs to have.
Each of the below links is for a three to six week study. You need to have a partner to go through this study. That can be a good friend, someone you're in a divorce recovery group with or even your ex. If possible, physically read the book together, outloud. Stop and discuss anything that either of you find noteworthy, but take time to really delve into the questions that I've provided.
If you haven't gone through "A Novel Approach to Discipleship," you may need to learn some of the skills taught in that class (or brush up on them if you have gone through it). For your convenience, I've included links to the basic instructions.
Warning: The assignments contain spoilers. If you haven't already read the book, you may not want to read the questions.
