A Novel Approach to Marriage Building - A Gilded Sky, Chapter 20

Remember, when you get to the questions that are specific about your marriage, make sure you both share!

Warning: The question contains spoilers. If you haven't already read the book, you may not want to read the questions.

Read page 134-135, the whole first scene of the chapter and then on page 137 the second and third paragraphs "Steve stared thoughtfully at ....'"

Do you understand the idea of a covenant? Do you see how a covenant made before God is different from a simple promise?

Use a bible dictionary to find out more about 'covenant.' Read some of the bible passages about covenants. Do you understand it better now? Do you think Heather was right?

Did you make a covenant vow with your spouse when you got married? If you didn't (or even if you did), write new vows for each other and make the covenant promise now. (Or renew your covenant promise based upon the experience of living with your spouse rather than the hope of what you'll have.) Don't just give each other the written vows, make it a special time.
