Read page 33, from the top, "'I didn't know ...'" down through the second to last full paragraph "Tim's eyes filled with tears ..."
Do you understand how Steve and Tim felt when their fathers died? Have you ever had similar feelings?
Do you understand why such feelings are wrong?
Explore what the bible says about our responsibility to others. (Go to the chapter 5 lesson from A Novel Approach for a starting point in your study.)
In your marriage, did you try to take responsiblity for your spouse's actions? Did you try to change him/her? Did you try to take responsibility for things that were outside of your control? What are some of those things? Did you avoid responsiblity for things you can control?
What are specific steps you can take to begin to change? How can your friends best help you to change?
