A Novel Approach to Dating - Seasons of Change, Chapter 1

Warning: The question contains spoilers. If you haven't already read the book, you may not want to read the questions.

In the second to last paragraph on page 9, Steve is thinking about the things he's waiting and looking for. One is a wife.

Do you think this is something Christians should do? Why or why not? Is it better to actively look or just wait for the Lord to send someone? Do you know anyone who has found a spouse without looking? If so, what is their marriage like?

Does the Bible say anything about finding a spouse? (You'll find lots of information about "wife" but very little on "husband," but not all of that will be about finding one.) Can you find any Bible passages that talk about how a spouse was found? Do they support or change your previous position?

How do you think a person could wisely go about actively looking for a spouse?
