A Novel Approach to Dating - Seasons of Change, Chapter 4

Warning: The question contains spoilers. If you haven't already read the book, you may not want to read the questions.

Read pages 27-29, from near the top, "Heather found a seat ..." down through the middle of page 29, "'It's not that we ..."

Do you think it's okay to be so open with someone you've just met? Remember that Heather already shared her family's story in chapter 2. Is she revealing too much? Is it okay to trust a virtual stranger with your private pain? Why or why not?

Use a concordance to help you explore what the Bible says about trust. Can you find anything that says not to trust people?

What guidelines for trust can you come up with based on your study? Do you follow them already? Are you so afraid of being hurt again that you automatically don't trust people? Do you think that is how God wants you to be?

What are specific steps you can take to begin to change? How can your friends best help you to change?
